See What It's Like

Editing: Katie Shaw
Song Choice: Stephanie Livsey
Camera"men": Patrice Stay, Katie Shaw

Hey everyone, I hope you enjoy this video Katie put together last night. She tried her best to get footage of everyone, but if you see your loved one missing, don't worry... everyone got here safely! Near the end of the week, we are going to work on a second video starring Team Leifde so keep your eyes out for that!

Hope everyone in the States had a great 4th of July!

Katie, Stephanie, Patrice....what a wonderful video - thank you so much for sharing your time with us here at home as we pray not to worry. I am so proud of you all, so grateful for this peek into the mission, and so filled with joy and prayer that tears are falling! May God's blessings fall as gentle rain on all of the team - Jesus' touch of health and strength and joy for all. I love you all! Grammy Duncan

Yeah ! Great Video girls!
To my 2 " teletubbies" Bonnie and Kerry - that was some fine dancing in those snuggle sacks. Hope you guys were warm enough. Looked at the forecast and it looks to warm up a bit. We are going to Attitash today to use those rainchecks. Supposed to be nicer up north anyway today.
Have lots of fun for me and keep dancin'

Patrice,

you need to work on your camera griping skills sister, your rule of 3rds and lead room we all out of whack, maybe we should start you off as a dolly grip...

Love You
Michael

p.s. lighting was okay though a bit too naturalistic for my tastes

Video was great! How marvelous it must have been to dance in the early morning sun. Nice to see Stephanie M in her typical pose..sleeping! 28 degrees this morning. did she keep the sleeping bag on all day? We miss her smiling face. Stephanie, Dad tells me I am obsessed with this blog. I check it 6 or 7 times a day to look for updates. The last thing I do before I go to bed the first thing I do when I get up. Uncle Bruce was very impressed when I told him you were accepted into City Year New York. He really enjoyed having you and Matt down last weekend. I gave him the blog site hopefully he'll send messages. Pastor Darin, it touches my heart how you lead this team with God's spirit and it strenthens my faith to read what everyone has to say. Trusting God, we sent our daughter off with relative strangers, but I feel through the blogs and your journal entries, I am getting to know everyone and it comforts me to know the character of the people with whom we have entrusted our daughter. We send our love and prayers to the whole team that you may all feel 100% soon in adjusting to the long trip. I leave you with 2 Cor 1:3-5 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfrot we ourselves have received from God.

Hello to Laura Messer - so glad you "confessed your addiction" to this site - I check it just about any time I pass my computer!! We too, sent our Courtney off with relative strangers from a totally different state even - but what an awesome, God-loving bunch they are. Love the comfort Scripture you sent.

I had prayed for a healing Scripture and just found it so will share for the team Psalm 103:2-3 "Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits-who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases" (sleeplessness, tummy upsets).
And tonight when you all go to bed may you be blessed with sweet refreshing sleep (Eccl 5:12a The sleep of a laborer is sweet - and you are definitely laborers!) waking refreshed, healthy, strong, with your youth renewed like the eagle's (Ps. 103:5)-especially for those on the team who are not teenagers anymore! lol

COURTNEY!!! and STEPHANIE L !!-Stephanie thank you again for the video and I am so glad you chose that song because I really like it, and C-ray, Noah and I have watched it at least 7 times, so I am REALLY glad I like the song!
(l0l) With tears and laughter and love and prayers to everyone, God Bless! Grammy

Miss Boo - I'm a little worried about the amount of fun you seem to be having so far. I think your cup runneth over. Let Patrice have the fun. Just remember, you have a job to do, and a I don't want the boss coming back and saying you're a slacker. We know where your true talent lies. There's plenty of time to slack when you get home. In fact, we have a full week of slacking planned just for you when you get back. In the mean time, make sure your sister doesn't hurt herself in that snugglesack. I'm afraid if she fell down she wouldn't be able to right herself.

Yoyo - K-rock - Pink Lady - WildKat - S'up!? - It's like, I mean, you know? Ish...ri-i-i-ight... I'm having trouble keeping your mom off the blogspot. She's spending more time reading blogs than I am watching ballgames, and you know that can't be good. Beckett & the struggling bullpen beat the Bombers again, with help from Mike Lowell's 4 RBIs. Ukelis hit a ball that popped out of Johnny Damon's mit and fell on the top of the fence, where it sat for a few seconds before rolling over the edge back onto the field. Instead of a home run or an out, he got a triple. Everybody was giving up on the Sox last week in Tampa Bay, and now all you hear about is NY losing 9 of 14. Dom can't be too pleased.
We watched Indiana Jones last night, going to G-man's tonight, and up to the Attitash slides on the morrow. Beta misses you.
Love,
Dad

Bon and Patrice- Looks like you guys are having a great time there! Good to see. I wish I could say the same about things around here, buttt...actually spent the last 2 days at Nic Browns in Vermont which was a good time. Anyway, I think you'll be happy to know I picked up the book from Barnes and Noble the other day. I'm through chapter one and will be continuing tonight.

Have fun!

Hi Melissa! Well, we've seen the picture and the video, and wish we could be there with you. Last night we watched the Boston Pops and the fireworks over the Charles River on TV. What an awsome sight! Wished we were there in person. This morning, Nini and I went our for breakfast and talked about you. Were your ears ringing? You're probably in bed sleeping as I write this (7:05 pm our time), but we just want you to know that we love you and to remind you the Christ is counting on you. We're very proud of you. Talked to Mom tonight. She & Derek are having a good time in VT and will go to Kathy's to read the blog tomorrow morning. God bless you as you do good! Love to you and all, Buppa

Tomorrow Mom will go to Kathleen's to read all the news she has missed.
Praying and proud, Nini
PS Loved the video -- thank you

Hi everyone,

I may know you or I may not, but I'm so happy for all of you. Going to Namibia and doing this work you are led to do is such a privilege, such an opportunity. I'm glad for you all that you got to go!

Great job on the video, it made me long to be there. I want to say a special hello to Bonnie, Casey, Darin, Steph, Katie, Germaine, Nate, and Amanda, all whom I got to experience the pleasure of traveling with in '05 along with Jason, who thankfully will not request of you to bring him home any Grapetiser this year because it is being sold in the states now! I'l be thinking of you all often as I sit around waiting for this baby to come, which Jason will say is hindering any return trips to Namibia in the near future along with her sister. Maybe someday they will just have to come with us. Bonnie, Sadie still talks about you from the night you came over to visit us with Mike. I forget what sent you into convulsions that time, but she still says, "Bonnie fell down... silly Bonnie!" Amanda, I'll try to hold off so I can be sure you'll visit me in the hospital with your mom who's blog comments are killing me as usual! Enjoy all your opportunities and the love of Dieter, Joan, and Richard.

Love, Colleen
