To G.O. Or Not To G.O.

That is the question!

Often when we begin planning a trip to Namibia people will say that they are waiting to see if God will tell them to go. If that is you, I have news for you: He's already told you to go. The Bible is very clear. Take a look at Matthew 28:18-20 and Acts 1:8. You're called to go.

So, if you're called to go, what should you be seeking to hear from God about this opportunity?

You should be seeking God to see if there is a reason right now that you should NOT be going. And that's a legitimate consideration. Perhaps at this point your primary responsibilities as a husband, father, wife, mother, employee, student, steward, or some other role that you are called to play, would take precedence over a trip to Namibia. Then you could know and say with clear conscience, "Not this time".

I encourage you to prayerfully consider going to Namibia this summer. Tell God that you know that He's called you to go - you're just wondering if this is the right trip for you to take part. See what He says. If He doesn't give you a definitive reason to stay home, let's go!
